- Tapa or Siapo (Samoan) is a fine cloth made from the bark of the Paper Mulberry tree. In Fiji, this linen-like barkcloth is called Masi, in Tonga it's Ngatu. Wherever it's made in the Pacific, siapo is regarded as one of the region's finest and most distinctive art forms.
